    American actress (born 1969)

    Deidre Goodwin (born September 15, 1969, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma) is an American actress known for such films and television series as Chicago, Half Nelson, Life on Mars, The Bourne Legacy and Across the Universe.[1]

    Career

    A stage and musical theatre actress who has appeared in such Broadway productions as A Chorus Line[2][3] and Silence! The Musical,[4] as well as productions of Chicago, Nine, The Boys From Syracuse, and The Rocky Horror Show,[5] she is a graduate of Southwest Missouri State University. She serves on the faculty of the New York Film Academy.[6] She is also the imaging voice for WCBS and KYW.[7][8]

    In 2006, Goodwin appeared as Sheila Bryant in the Broadway revival of A Chorus Line.

    Most recently seen in the huvudgata revival of A Chorus Line, Ms. Goodwin has performed the role of Velma in Chicago opposite the Roxies of Ann Reinking, Belle Calaway, Angie L. Schworer, Sandy Duncan, Nana Visitor, Petra Nielson, Denise Van Outen, Charlotte d'Amboise, Donna Marie Asbury, Tracy Shayne, and Melanie Griffith.



    Other credits include: City Center's THE PAJAMA GAME (Gladys), FUNNY GIRL IN CONCERT (Keeney Girl, Maude), DREAMGIRLS IN CONCERT (Stepp Sister), Eleventh Annual BROADWAY BARES (Barbarella), and numerous benefits and readings.

    Biography

    Deidre Goodwin found incredible success as an accomplished actress, appearing in a variety of films throughout her Hollywood career. Goodwin kickstarted her acting career with roles in dramas like "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit" (NBC, 1999-). She continued to act in productions like the Eddie Murphy comedy "Meet Dave" (2008), "Every Little Step" (2009) and the Meryl Streep blockbuster romantic comedy "It's Complicated" (2009). She also appeared in "Fair Game" (2010) with Naomi Watts. Recently, she tackled roles in the Jake Gyllenhaal comedic adaptation "Love and Other Drugs" (2010), the Nicole Kidman dramatic adaptation "Rabbit Hole" (2010) and the Jeremy Renner box office smash action picture "The Bourne Legacy" (2012).
