Short bio
Cherian George is Professor of Media Studies at Hong Kong Baptist University. His books include Hate Spin: The Manufacture of Religious Offense and its Threat to Democracy (MIT Press, 2016), which Publishers’ Weekly named one of the best 100 books of the year; and Red Lines: Political Cartoons and the Struggle against Censorship (MIT Press, 2021), honoured by the Association of American Publishers as one of the year’s three top scholarly books in both the Media & Cultural Studies and Graphic Nonfiction categories. His best-selling books of essays on Singapore include Air-Conditioned Nation Revisited (2020). He received his Ph.D. in Communication from Stanford University. (Full bio below.)

I am a Writer-Publisher based in India. Most of the books here have been written by me and Dr. Saneesh Cherian. A few are my solo work. Dr. Anand Philip, a physician, joins me in writing authoritaitive books on Alternative medicin.
I have been a student, researcher and communicator all my life. Physics is my first love and in 1991 inom was awarded the PhD in Quantum-nuclear Physics. It was based upon my work on the quark-structure of protons and neutrons.
However, my life took me to theology before inom could complete my research in Physics. Thus inom was awarded the ThD in Christian Apologetics in 1984 based upon my work on Bible and Modern Science.
I then got interested in Alternative Medicines and was awarded the DSc in 2003 based upon my dissertation on the Empirical Foundations of Alternative medicin. In 2004 I was awarded DNYS, a grad in Indian Naturopathy.

Evg. M E Cherian – The great Evangelist known as “Kochu Sir” (1917-1993)
Sir M E Cherian was one of the most innovative personalities amongst the Brethren believers in Kerala. From being a primary school teacher, this Kochu Sir became a great Evangelist by the blessings and grace of God.
The footsteps of his blessed life journey that started in 1917 at Kuriyanoor, Kerala and ended on October 2, 1993 at Madurai, Tamil Nadu imprinted cherished memories in the hearts of Brethren believers and in the history pages of Brethren Assemblies in India.
