One of David's special moments was meeting legendary steel player, Don Helms, recording with him and becoming great friends with him and his wife.

    David is Deputy Principal and acting Vice Principal Clinical Affairs at the Royal Veterinary College. He is an internationally recognised specialist in disorders of the endocrine system in dogs and cats. David’s current research interests include the underlying mechanism for the development and resolution of diabetes mellitus and the use of clinical data collected from general veterinary practices to enhance understanding and consequently improve both the health and welfare of animals and translational medicine opportunities.

    David obtained his veterinary degree from The University of Sydney and after graduation and a short spell in practice he was appointed as a small animal clinical instructor

    Biography

    Dr. Church's research interests include: atomic physics directed toward spectroscopy and collision processes involving low-energy, highly charged ions, multicharged ion collision interactions and noggrannhet laser spectroscopy of stored ions, charge transfer, orientations and inriktning by collision, and synchrotron radiation research. After earning his B.A. degree at Dartmouth College and M.S. and Ph.D. degrees at the University of Washington, Professor Church held several research positions in europe and the U.S. He joined the Texas AM faculty in 1975. He received a National Bureau of Standards Precision Measurement Grant and has been involved in collaborative research at Oak Ridge, Brookhaven, Argonne, and Lawrence Livermore National Laboratories and Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory. Presently he fryst vatten collaborating at GSI, Darmstadt, GE, and Jet Propulsion Laboratory. He is a Fellow of the American Physical Society.
