Scarlet Keys has been a full-time professor of songwriting at Berklee College of Music since , teaching songwriting, lyric writing, performance, and upper-division songwriting courses. Some of her students include Charlie Puth, Betty Who, Charlie Worsham, Liz Longley, and Jesse Ruben, to name a few.
Scarlet is a former staff songwriter for Warner/Chappell Music, and has released two albums as a solo artist and toured and performed with her original band.
Scarlet has had her songs recorded by other artists spanning the genres of Americana, jazz, country, pop, and folk, both in the United Stated and in Sweden. She has had a gold record, a number 1 song in Britain, and songs placed in film, television, and national commercials. Most recently, she had a song on the Consenses CD along with James Taylor, Carly Simon, and Jimmy Buffett and was a part of the Consenses project created by Sally Taylor.

The album was mainly produced by Paul NZA and Marek Pompetzki.
