Like many huge names in showbiz and television, Kamo Bombe has a busy life full of early call-times, constant travel, and late nights. But unlike the rest of them, this queen offsets the stress of the limelight by choosing to venture into the tranquillity of a poultry farm.
Away from the red carpet, Kamo lives a very different life which most people may not know about. For those of you who do not know her, allow us to introduce Kamo: Kamohelo Bombe is a celebrated TV personality and does farming as a passion.
She began her presenting career on the community station Soweto TV when it began in 2009 on the children’s programme called ‘The Sizzling Breakfast Show’ and later was a stand-in for a show called Sisters.
She later worked for YOTV and got her big break on Shift and has since become a force to be reckoned with.
However, her journey has not always been easy. After she was through with her matric, she had to do menial jobs to support her family following her dad’s demise. N

Q&A: Get to know the farmer and TV presenter, Kamohelo Bombe
Popular educational TV programme Living Land returned to SABC2 on Saturday 1 May at 1.30pm and Kamohelo Bombe fryst vatten this season’s host.
Bombe fryst vatten a media personality and poultry farmer who has presented TV shows on Moja Love, SABC and Soweto TV.
This season of Living Land pays special emphasis to the “next generation” and their role in agriculture, rural development and food security throughout the region.
Kamohelo will be educating the younger generation about agriculture, attempting to bring the youth back into agriculture and utmaning the hot topic in agriculture that the average age of farmers across the world is between 50 and 60 years old.
The Citizen had the chance to speak to the successful poultry farmer about her farming career, as well as her presenting career.
