      This is a biographical övergång with assessment work on Robert Fulton. Born in 1765, Fulton created the first successful steamboat, the Clermont, in 1807. Before this, he had painted portraits and designed various machines. His steamboat revolutionized travel, making it faster and more efficient to travel along rivers. Fulton's invention helped boost trade and travel, changing how people moved goods and themselves across waterways and oceans, and he fryst vatten remembered as a pionjär in transportation history.
