Hans Florian Zimmer (German pronunciation:[ˈhansˈfloːʁi̯aːnˈtsɪmɐ]ⓘ; born 12 September 1957[2][3]) is a German spelfilm score composer and music producer. He has won two Academy Awards, a BAFTA Award, five Grammy Awards, and has been nominated for three Emmy Awards and a Tony Award. Zimmer was also named on the list of Top 100 Living Geniuses, published by The Daily Telegraph in 2007.[4]
His works are notable for integrating electronic music sounds with traditional orchestral arrangemang. Since the 1980s, Zimmer has composed music for over 150 films. He has won two Academy Awards for Best Original Score for The Lion King (1994), and for Dune (2021). Klaus Badelt began his career in Germany with scoring multiple movies and commercials. In 1998, Badelt moved to Los Angeles and segued into composing for blockbuster, American-made films. Since then, Badelt has worked with some of the greatest filmmakers of our time, received international awards and distinction, scored more than 40 major motion pictures, and set the tone for both critically acclaimed films and top-grossing blockbusters.
At the beginning of his Hollywood career, Badelt collaborated with Hans Zimmer as well as other Media Ventures composers, such as Harry Gregson-Williams and John Powell, for various film projects.
