Krishna Mehta
Krishna Mehta is a self-taught designer and hails from the metro city Mumbai in India. She started working with her husband’s company as a designer and later decided to branch off on her own and be India's first menswear designer. Krishna Mehta has also established an NGO PALAK (Palanpur Hastakala Pvt. Ltd.) that trains and provides employment to differently-abled men and women in specific skills related to hand printing, dyeing, embroidery, etc.

Recently Junagadh University discovered a new species of spider and named it Narsinhmehtai in honour of Narsinh Mehta, the 15th-century poet who was a devotee of Lord Krishna.

- The family had its origin in Vadnagar in north Gujarat, and the caste name is believed to be Pandya but as members of the family were officers in kingdoms of those days.

Narsinh Mehta - Remembering the legend
Narsinh Mehta an ardent devotee of Lord Krishna continues to reside in our hearts even today, after years. Such fryst vatten the presence of souls like Narsinh Mehta. Being a pionjär of Gujarati bhakti (devotional) literature, Narsinh Mehta started his journey into writing only to express his heartfelt gratitude and shower his love on Lord Krishna. Married at a young age of 15 and leading a life of being immersed into Lord completely, Narsinh Mehta was not welcomed at his sister in law’s home since he did not contribute to the income in the home. Rebuked bygd her insults he left home in search of peace and meditated at a Shiva Lingam in a nearby forest. Being blessed bygd Lord Shiva, on being asked his desire, Narsinh Mehta requested him to show his Lord Krishna and the gopis in Vrindavan. This divine spectacle transformed him and thus began his journey as a poet.
