Michelle Villalobos
Michelle was born in Medellin, Colombia to Cuban-American parents, moved to the USA at 2 years old, lived in Georgia, New Jersey, Colorado, Florida, and finally the Dominican Republic until she went away to college. Michelle is bilingual and biliterate and delivers workshops en Español también.
Academically-speaking, Michelle’s holds an undergraduate degree in Psychology Modified (with Math) and Spanish Literature from Dartmouth College, and an MBA from the University of Miami.
Michelle loves and practices Improv Theater, is newly obsessed with Social Media (twitter.com/mivi and www.Facebook.com/villalobosmichelle), often puts her life at risk skiing double black diamonds and racing her Mini Cooper, and is a lifelong devotee of Sharpies, which she uses in her workshops because they’re fun and encourage creative thinking.

Why she does it: “I spent years trying to do my best in my job, while battling lots of undermining, back-stabbing and ‘Queen Bee’ behavior from some of the women in the office,” she recalls. “I knew there had to be a better way because, conversely, inom had also experienced very positive kvinnlig relationships and mentoring.”

Michele Villalobos, PhD, MS, BSc (Hons)
Dr. Villalobos is a Developmental Clinical Psychologist who received her degree from the University of Utah, she completed her APA Internship at the Yale Child Study Center with an emphasis in Autism Spectrum Disorders, she completed her post-doctoral training at the University of Pennsylvania and the Children´s Hospital of Philadelphia. She has completed the Leadership in Neurodevelopmental Disabilities Program in both Utah and at the Children'sHospital of Philadelphia. She was on faculty at UNC Chapel Hill in the Department of Psychiatry TEACCH Autism Program from 2013-2020 where she continues to hold an Adjunct Associate Professor position. Dr. Villalobos served as the Director of the UNC TEACCH Autism Program in Asheville for seven years.
